Does Candy AI have anime characters? It does: 73 are listed in the Anime section, and the character builder offers anime as a style beside realistic, which is how you get an AI anime girlfriend of your own. I opened the listing to count them and came away with three Shorts tabs, which says something about my discipline and more about where the anime crossover really lives. Everything here comes from Candy’s public pages and help center, re-checked on October 15, 2026, and it covers adult characters only.
What the Candy AI anime section holds
Candy’s category switch has three settings: the main female section, Anime and Guys. Anime is a long scroll of pre-made characters, each with a name, an age and a one-line scenario. The settings mix modern (roommates, neighbors, a goth date night) with fantasy (an elf, an android, an operative on your trail). A few fantasy characters list ages in the hundreds or higher, which is a gag the card is in on. All 73 list an age of 18 or above.
Candy’s own anime landing page is generic. It promises selfies, voice messages and videos “in the exact outfit, pose, or scenario” you ask for, and it prints no token prices. Some of its wording leans on stock stereotypes that I will not repeat, so trust the cards over the copy.
Make your own AI anime girlfriend: the Anime style in the builder
Anime is a style choice on the first screen of Candy’s character builder, beside Realistic, in the main builder and the male one. The Trans option shows Anime as “Coming Soon”. In the anime menu I loaded, the age picker starts at 18 and stops at 39, and the menus are shorter than the realistic ones, which the create-your-own page walks through. One custom character is free. More need Premium, and Candy counts creation as a token use without publishing a price.
Is the anime style free? What it costs
Browsing the Anime section is free; the listing and character pages opened for me without an account. Chatting is where the meter starts. Candy’s free tier is 5 messages in total across all characters, one custom character and one image, and its help center does not tie any of that to a style. I could not test a free anime build while logged out, so I won’t promise yours can be anime.
| Free account | Premium (from $3.99/mo) | |
|---|---|---|
| Candy Shorts | Episode 1 with no account, episode 2 with a free account | Every episode, at 12 tokens (30 on Creator series) |
| Chat messages | 5 in total, across all characters | Unlimited messages |
| Custom AI girlfriend | One custom character | Create your own, as many as you like |
| Images and video | One image | 18+ image and video generation, paid with tokens |
| Tokens | None | 100 every month |
| Voice messages and calls | Not included | Paid with tokens |
Beyond that it is tokens, and the anime chat pages print two prices I could read. The “Scene Video” option says “Generate a 5-second video of this exact moment” and shows 12 tokens. The call prompt shows a beta price of 3 tokens a minute, and the voice-calls page has the maths.
Twelve tokens is also the price of a paid Shorts episode, which Candy says runs under two minutes. Charge the whole 12-month plan to tokens and the clip works out near ten cents a second, at $0.48 for five seconds. I have not seen a generated clip, so I cannot grade one. The Shorts episode is the bargain here, and the clip is the luxury item.

Premium on Candy AI, checked October 15, 2026. Prices in USD; Candy shows your local currency at checkout and local taxes may apply.
See the Premium plansCandy’s anime page also mentions a “7-day trial”. The plan page and help center I checked describe none, and the free account is the 5-message one, so I would not plan around a trial. Plans renew automatically, so set a reminder.
Candy Shorts with Anime leads
The crossover is small but real. Three Shorts series are led by characters whose Candy profiles sit in the Anime section: BAD Step-Sister, Trespasser of the Sunken Court and One Bed With My Roommate. The poster art on all three is anime-style. Two carry the Fantasy tag. From the synopses, one is an elven court and the other is rent, a bet and a debt, so the tag does not predict the tone.
Each is a standard series: two free episodes, then 12 tokens for each paid one. I have not checked whether the paid episodes keep the anime look beyond the posters, and the free ones settle it in two minutes, since episode 1 plays without an account. Candy says Shorts are separate from your chats, so after a series the lead’s chat is where the anime side picks up, on your 5 free messages. Most of the catalog has main-section leads; the fantasy category is the nearest neighbor.
Adults only, in the Anime section too
This guide covers adult characters only. Candy’s age policy says AI content on its services must not bear any resemblance to anyone under 18, the site has an 18+ gate, and the builder’s age picker starts at 18. An age on a card is only text, though, and the art is the real test, so I would skip any card or poster that does not read as plainly adult.
Hentai, “uncensored” and the moderation catch
Candy markets “uncensored fantasy”, and its boyfriend page uses the word “hentai” for anime-style images, so adult anime content is part of the product, within its Community Guidelines. Its terms add that moderation may alter or block a request before anything is generated. I have not seen paid output, so I will not describe it. Expect the same limits as everywhere on Candy.
Who should pay for the anime side
Pay if the art style is your reason for being here and the free messages left you wanting more. The 12-month plan, $3.99 a month and $47.88 billed once, keeps tokens cheapest. Stay free if you just want to look: browse the cards, watch episode 1 of the three Shorts and spend your 5 messages on one character.
The honest drawbacks: only the scene video and calls have published prices, I could not test a free anime build, a 12-token clip is five seconds long, and only three Shorts lean anime.

Questions people ask
Does Candy AI have anime characters?
Yes. Candy's category switch has an Anime section, and its public sitemap lists 73 pre-made anime characters, a mix of modern and fantasy settings. You can also pick Anime as the style when you build your own character. Three Candy Shorts series are led by Anime-section characters, with anime-style poster art.
Is the anime style free?
Browsing is: the Anime listing and character pages open without an account, and Anime is a style choice on the builder's first screen. Candy's free tier then gives 5 messages in total, one custom character and one image, with no mention of style. I could not test a free anime build logged in. Everything beyond that needs Premium, from $3.99 a month on 12 months.
Can I make my own anime character?
Yes. Anime sits beside Realistic on the builder's first screen, in both the main and the male builder. In the anime menu I loaded, the age picker starts at 18, and the Trans option shows Anime as 'Coming Soon'. One custom character is free. Creating more is a token use, and Candy publishes no price for it.
Are the Candy Shorts anime-style?
Three have leads from Candy's Anime section: BAD Step-Sister, Trespasser of the Sunken Court and One Bed With My Roommate, and all three posters use anime-style art. I have not checked whether the paid episodes keep that look; the free ones will tell you, and episode 1 plays without an account. Most other Shorts have leads from the main section.
Does Candy AI do hentai or anime porn?
Candy markets 'uncensored fantasy', and its boyfriend page uses the word 'hentai' for anime-style images, so adult anime content is part of the product within its Community Guidelines. Its terms say moderation may alter or block a request. I have not seen paid output and will not describe it. This guide covers adult characters only.
Are the anime characters adults?
On this page, yes: it covers adult characters only. All 73 cards list an age of 18 or above, though a card is text and the art is the real test, so skip anything that does not read as plainly adult. Candy's age policy says its AI content must not bear any resemblance to anyone under 18, and the builder's age picker starts at 18.
