Is one bachelorette night enough story for 5 episodes? On paper, probably not, which is why My Step-Sister’s Bachelorette Party! Candy Shorts is a free-first watch rather than an unlock: finishing costs 36 tokens, 36% of one month’s Premium allowance.

The setup is a party. Your stepsister is about to get married, tonight is her bachelorette, and she is dragging you along. The synopsis calls her a total tease, says the same of her three friends, and tells you exactly whom the bride has in mind for her last night of freedom: you. The word “tease” gets capital letters, and it worked on me through plain text.

What it has going for it is speed. There is no backstory to learn, because you know the room, the occasion and the stakes by the end of the synopsis. What it lacks, on the page, is somewhere to go afterwards. One night is a narrow stage, and I can’t tell from the synopsis whether the series widens it.
